About Our Retreats

An intensive therapy retreat is a quicker, deeper, and longer lasting way of doing therapy. There is much more time to go in deeper, in a safe and professional setting, holding you in your process. It`s now proven to be more effective and longer lasting from the clinical research done. It can be a challenge to leave work, jump into a therapy session and then back out of it and to continue working - we often loose it quickly, as there is little time to consolidate and sit in the change. Following a program through the week which is based on science and yet goes deep into our hearts, focuses on deeper core blocked energy and works on removing your fears, blocks and stuckness from life’s experiences is totally life changing. Some retreats are focused on finding yourself again at the most innocent, peaceful and loving place, which brings you back to yourself and leaves the drama of life behind.

Immerse yourself in a totally relaxed and healing environment. The therapy is focused mainly for one to one deeper therapy sessions, with small group sessions, where we will talk about issues, techniques and the process in general. Below is a guide to the process on retreat, it is just a guide, as each person is treated uniquely, depending on their aims and problems etc. We therefore tailor make your process for you, to meet your needs and achieve your goals.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a psychological approach based on scientific principles and research suggests that it is effective for a wide range of problems. The psychotherapist and client work together to identify and understand the problems. They work together to understand the link between thoughts, feelings and behaviour patterns. During times of distress, we can judge situations and difficulties in a different way than when things are good.

We dedicate ourselves totally to your experience and journey through therapy, mindfulness, yoga, meditation & self-discovery with indulgent time off relaxing around the pool, in the jacuzzi, or in the peaceful haven and gardens of the retreat centre.

With qualities of joy, happiness and inner peace, helping you to be free from past events. People often ask me “how do I live freely in the now, in my busy life” — I often reply with awareness, patience and learning to be free inside yourself. I love to help people heal, regain control and not be blocked, this will allow you to become the best version of yourself. Feel what life is like, feel the richness of being free with yourself. I have a burning desire to help people reach this point, because it feels fantastic and it`s hard to put it into words, it can be empowering, uplifting, light, harmonising, peaceful………...

Watching the sunrise can be a powerful moment when we are connected and free from the thoughts of the day ahead, or past day. This can be a good start to waken the mind to the now and learn how to let go of any passing thoughts, or feelings, which stop us from being in the present moment. When we can embrace, be present and flow with the day - we see everything as passing, transient, in a constant flow.

There are generally 2 half days and some free evenings with some time for relaxation in between sessions. The days do vary depending on the group. The retreats vary according to topic, themes and numbers. There are creative sessions and free time for being creative - this helps to deepen the therapy work. There will be CD`s, books, and other resources to help the therapy process and mindfulness practice during your stay. Most people sleep really well on retreat and enjoy going to bed early after relaxing in the sauna, or jacuzzi.

“Mindfulness is a pause – the space between stimulus and response: that’s where choice lies.”
— Tara Brach

On retreat we focus on being free within yourself, within your body and mind - paying attention in a more purposeful way. We will guide you and help you to process the therapy that we go through together, in a gentle but purposeful and loving way. We need the kindness/love for softening of ones own defence mechanisms and blocks which we can have towards ourselves.

Mindfulness helps us to see that we don`t need to let our mind take over our thinking. Practicing mindfulness helps us to see the thoughts and not hook into them, not get lost with them, or locked into them. We also need our feelings to help us decide which ones we want to pay attention to, so that we can create the life we desire. Giving lovingkindness to ourselves helps us to be more at ease with whatever arises and then make good choices for what we need, or just letting some thoughts just pass.

Retreat Itinerary

Arrival Day:
We meet & greet, unpack and have some time to settle in. Then we start some light connecting as a group and sharing our objectives for the week. Connecting to our desire and true wishes for the change we want - the more clear with this we are the easier it flows when we start the deeper process.

Day 1 on retreat:
We will understand your problems, explore the aims and objectives for the retreat and get centered and relaxed. W e will start to release tension and open up to the deeper process of therapy for healing and transforming. Identify blockers and sabotage patterns. We will also talk about how to become more mindful and use it to become aware of the changing process - changing thinking, feeling and behaviour patterns that are habits and sometimes unwanted, or unhelpful. Understanding your thinking patterns and emotional reactions can be very enlightening.

Day 2:
We will now go deeper to what you would like to change, let go of and clear out. How to create a better connection with yourself and start to love yourself more. Some work on the inner child if needed, or healing oneself from the past, or events, or just healing. Letting go of baggage and unwanted rubbish, learning to let critical self thoughts, judgements pass, learning to not be carried away by constant chatter in the mind. Seeing more clearly and learning about acceptance.

Day 3:
We will have slightly different day, with a longer break to aid the process of digesting, connecting and healing at this point. A questions and answers session is always useful at this point and some more resources will be given out. Today we will also work on setting good healthy boundaries, being more clear with why we procrastinate and why we sometimes don`t believe in our goals, or ourselves - developing more determination and conviction to move forwards. Harmonising with our energy, with our passion, joy, intuitive side and much more.

Day 4:
Moving through your own limitations, becoming more liberated, more free and learning deeper what holds you back and why. More releasing. During this powerful day we will be clear about our limiting beliefs and fears. Find more respect and inner connection to the `you`, you were born to be. Developing wisdom, lovingkindness and exploring what being free is like. Becoming more empowered and grounded. We will do the letting go walk and welcoming in change and new………

Day 5:
Forgiving, accepting, healing and letting go - finishing off any unfinished business. Doing a very powerful visualisation. Developing new patterns, desires, faith and belief in ourselves. Understanding our negative assumptions for moving forwards - breaking old patterns, rules, expectations, limits, fear, guilt and much more. We will work on motivation for change when returning back home and how to continue to move forwards. Creating new neurological pathways, it`s like exercising a muscle - putting this into practice, so we know how to continue. Being honest, respectful and genuine to self. Becoming committed to change and transforming forwards. Becoming more free and at peace with the self.

Day 6:
Reinforcing the newly developed neurological pathways, it`s like exercising a muscle - putting this into practice, so we know how to continue. Write a plan of action out together, that is realistic, sustaining and passionate. Following a routine is proven to sustain the change made and for the change to be integrated into daily life - takes practice. Discussions on becoming committed to change, being more free and at peace with the self. We will focus on maintaining change and what to do with any slip backs, which are normal and a gift if used well. A gift pack is given to take home with handouts and special memories of the retreat, together with some useful personal points from the process on retreat.
